Our 5-step process was designed to ensure that all Refresh projects, even large-scale full house transformations, are delivered on time and within budget.
Step 1
Briefing / Initial Consultation
Whether you’re full of ideas or lacking inspiration, this is a chance for you to get on the same page with your Renovation Consultant. You’ll discuss your goals, budget, and ideal timeline at this early stage in the process to make it easier to manage expectations for your project. Taking on a full house renovation is an exciting opportunity that needs a solid foundation to be successful, so tell us everything! From two extra bedrooms to bronze doorknobs, no idea is too big or small during the initial consultation.
Step 2
Concept and Feasibility
Now that you’ve discussed the big picture, your Renovation Consultant will arrange for concept designs to be drawn up to determine the feasibility of your project. These drawings allow you to see your ideas take shape and see what’s achievable. There’s still a lot of flexibility in this phase; maybe you’ll find wiggle room within your budget here to upgrade to luxury marble floors, or you may discover some things aren’t worth having.
Step 3
Working Drawings and Costing
Next, your concept drawings will be developed into working drawings, in which technical details such as architectural, structural, and other practical considerations will be addressed. While you’re always in control of your renovation, this is the last planning step before building begins, so it’s the most cost-effective time to make any final alterations. Your Renovation Consultant will work closely with you to ensure you’re confident in the plans. To close out this phase, they’ll provide you with a fixed quote so you know the entire house renovation cost before getting started.
Step 4
Build / Construction Stage
When building begins, you can finally see your dream take shape. The excellent support provided by your Renovation Consultant will continue through this phase as they coordinate trusted contractors and talented craftspeople, and source premium materials from preferred suppliers. They’ll also monitor the construction closely to ensure your project is delivered on time, within budget, and with limited disruptions so you can enjoy the fruits of a stress-free renovation.
Step 5
Your Finished Renovation
The final step before your Renovation Consultant officially hands over your transformed home is to ensure that all of the necessary documentation is in order. A Code of Compliance certificate deems your project compliant with any local building or council regulations. Once you have that, your full house renovation is complete!
